The Landon
House - Frederick, Maryland
At the historic
Landon House in Urbana, Maryland, we specialize in hosting
unforgettable, affordable weddings for the discriminating bride and
groom. Our "one-stop" approach takes the pressure off of you and
lets you enjoy your special day.
Landon House is
most famous for having been the site of Confederate General J.E.B.
Stuart's Sabers and Roses Ball held just before the Battle of
Antietam.
We pride ourselves
on our attention to the details of your wedding. Our huge and newly
redecorated bridal suite makes your wedding day just a little more
special.
Ask someone who's
hosted their wedding at the historic Landon House...and they'll tell
you their guests are still talking about it!
Landon House is
perfect for:
"What a capital
place for us to give a ball in honor of our arrival in Maryland!"
General J.E.B. Stuart September, 1862
Set back
from the “Washington Pike” (now Route 355), Landon is a national
treasure that few people, even those from the Frederick area, have
ever seen or heard about. It has survived for 250 years for those very
reasons. Incredibly, the house remains beautifully intact from its
days as a silk mill, girls school and boys military academy.
Our six-acre estate lends itself to leisurely
arm-in-arm strolls by your guests. The original oak floors
are made for dancing with plenty of room for your guests to mingle and
have a great time.
